This umbrella is a new extension of the Namatjira Collection of Art-à-Porter, which the artist Mervyn is delighted to see come to fruition: "I am delighted because everyone can wear my creations and show them to others."

The watercolor painted by the artist represents the artist's ancestral country, the West MacDonnell Ranges, located in Australia's central desert, near Alice Springs. Painted in a circular format it provides an all-compassing view of Mervyn's West Aranda country.
This umbrella is a further extension of the 2015 Namatjira Wearable Art Collection project and one that Mervyn is excited to see come to fruition: "I like it because everyone can wear my artwork and show other people. We should do more of that, that's what I'm thinking."
