As part of the special program organized to celebrate NAIDOC Week in Paris , the Australian Embassy is hosting a roundtable on the ethical trade of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, Thursday July 7, 2022.
During this round table, the President of the Indigenous Art Code, Stephanie Parkin, and its Managing Director, Gabrielle Sullivan, will discuss with two French experts, Solenne Ducos-Lamotte, director of IDAIA, and Arnaud Morvan, anthropologist and curator of exposure, on what the Code means in practice. They will discuss the elements to consider to ensure that one buys works of art whose provenance is fair, ethical and transparent.
